Are funds a barrier?

Please fill out the form anyways.

Accessibility is our top priority!

The inaugural National Native Theatre Convening will take place in Portland, Oregon, this summer!

Join us in action-forward, solutions-minded networking and coalition building. Activities include:

  • one-on-one mentorship
  • small group conversations
  • building a touring network for Native performance
  • knowledge and best practices sharing
  • plus: sign up for a 5-10 minute slot to share work-in-progress with other Convening attendees

The Convening is sliding scale! Travel stipends are available, first-come, first-served. Fill out the registration form to apply for a stipend.

Where to Stay:
Native Performing Arts Network has arranged a discount for hotel rooms ($169/night) at the
Crowne Plaza Hotel Portland Downtown Convention. Located near the Convention Center and a short train ride to Downtown Portland, the Crowne Plaza is conveniently located for all Convening activities. Book a discounted room.

For less expensive options, we recommend the Northwest Portland Hostel (named #1 hostel in US by HostelWorld in 2025), about a half-mile walk to either the streetcar or the Max train, which can take you to all conference locations.

There are also a number of other hotels in the Convening corridor near the Convention Center. Learn more about visiting Portland at Travel Portland.
